Lexie waited for the guy to come back out, and then she told him, "Im going to get a pet today." She said, as she walked to the room that held the animals. She looked around.

When Lexie had finished looking at all the pets, she looked around at the cats. She scanned her eyes over rows of cats, until her brown eyes spotted a cat with dusky fur, and gray on his muzzle and ear tips. She looked at the tag. Alderage. She gave one last glance at Alderage, then turned and grabbed the key to his cage, opened it, and gently picked him up. She layed him in her arms, and pat him on the head. "How about you come home with me?" She asked in a whisper.

Alderage looked up at the girl holding him. He purred softly. This was a definate change from the lollipop girl. He licked her arm with his rough tongue. Alderage was happy to be cared for.

Demi was in the cage next to Alderage whining. She missed her old family. When Demi heard Aderage's cage open she knew she had no chance, she looked like a wolf anyway. Demi looked up to the young Girl

Lexie pat alderage once more on the head, as she started to walk out.. Until she heard Demi Whining. She bit her lip, and turned around, to look at Demi. She knew that she loved animals, and that she had enough money to get two pets. "Alderage.." She said slowly, "I think Im bringing home two pets today.." She reached over to Demi's cage, and opened it. She gave a swift pat to her head, and then whispered, "Ill be right back.." She closed the cage, and walked out of the room, going to the cashier, and asking him "How much for Alderage and Demi?".
"Five hundred." He told her. She got her bag, and took out 5, hundred dollar bills. She then said, "Im gonna need lots of dog and cat food." She grabbed a couple bags of each. "What's my total?" She asked, as she grabbed a nice blue collar for Demi, and a green collar for Alderage. The man quickly punched in some numbers. "Your total is five hundred and thirty dollars. " He replied. Lexie grabbed a twenty and ten dollar bill, and placed all 530 dollars onto the counter. "Im gonna grab Demi from the back room" She said quickly, as she walked back to the room Demi was in. She reopened the cage, forcing herself to set all the stuff on the ground, Including alderage. Lexie then fitted the collar onto Demi, and the other one onto Alderage. She picked up her bag of stuff, and put a leash onto Demi, and carried Alderage. "Cmon you two." She said soothingly, as she walked out to the parking lot. She opened the door to her car, and placed Alderage on the back seat, and placed Demi in the front. "Now... You two be nice to eachother.. Or I'll have to put you in cages." She said softly, as she closed the door, and climbed into the drivers seat, and drove away to her home.

Demi wagged her tail happily, she knew that she had to be good if she didn't want to go in a cage.
Demi looked at the cat in the backseat and wagged her tail faster. She turned around to the window and looked at her lovely blue collar "wow!" She barked as she saw the rear view mirror to see her new collar.

Alderage, being a usually calm cat, had never been in a car before. His fur flattened at the car started. He meowed unhappily. "I get carsick!" He yowled, as he slid around the backseat. He finally dug in his claws and held on tight. He lay down, and started licking his stuck up fur. Alderage watched the dog carefully. He didn't like dogs too much, or cars for that matter.

Selena parked her purring Saleen on the curb in front of the Pet Store, hoping to find a new pet. She hadn't ended up adopting the beagle that had been here before, so this time, maybe she would look for a kitten. Kittens are cute. Selena cut he engine and hopped out of her car, locking the doors as she headed into the store. A little bell tinkled when she headed through the doors. She scanned the cages, not finding any animals that she might like, although she continued searching for a kitten.
