Lexie drove her car up to her house, and into the driveway. She looked through her rearview mirror, to check up on Alderage and Demi.

Demi howled in happiness and waited for Lexie to open the door. Demi's howl was deep and wild but not loud.

Alderage's stomach lurched as the car stopped. He stood up, with his claws still extended into the cushiony seat. He purred with happiness when it had ended.

Demi laughed "Oh come on Alderage! It ain't that bad!" Demi was a happy camper for the first time in her life "This is so much better then being a stray!" Demi said shaking her fur, oddly she didn't really shed.

"Not for a cat," Alderage murmured under his breath where Demi couldn't hear. He curled up in a ball, as layed his tail under his chin. His whiskers twitched in agreement. It was better than being a stray, and a whole lot better than the pet store.

Lexie opened the door on Demi's side, and grabbed the leash. "Ill be right back!" She said, as she closed the door quietly, just to lead Demi to the front door, and open it quickly. She slipped Demi in, and walked back to the car. She opened the side door, and picked up Alderage. She stroked his back and head to try to calm him down. She then slowly carried him back to the house.
When Lexie got inside, holding Alderage in her arms, she sat down on her couch in front of her big screen T.V. She sat Alderage down, and thought of somthing to do, until she remembered that Demi and Alderage needed a place to sleep. She got up and walked to the large closet in the middle of the room. She opened the door, and picked out an old catt bed she had used for her last cat she owned. She also picked out a new dog bed that was a sky blue, and it had a stripe of pink around it. She carried the two beds to another room, that had a ton of dog and cat toys. It had little squeaky mice, balls, and different sizes of ropes. It also had a scratching post. There was a door that led to the backyard. There was a small doggy door fitted into it. She wasled over to the side of the room, and set down both beds one next to the other. She then got the food dishes she had used, and set them down next to the beds. She set down one large water bowl and one smaller water bowl next to the food dishes, and got out the dog and cat food, filled up the dishes, and filled up the water bowls.

Lexie then looked at the room itself. She called out to the two pets. "Alderage, Demi! Come here please!" She was wondering if they would come.

Demi slipped in the door and went to Lexie and barked playfully " Alderage you coming?" She barked and saw the dog toys

Alderage lifted his head at the sound of his name being called. He followed Demi into the new room, his tail held high. He purred as he rubbed against the girl's legs, and then quickly walked to his food dish.

Lexie smiled briefly, and then said, "Demi, follow me." She walked to the door to the back yard, and opened it, reavealing a giant strech of grass, accompanied by bushes, trees and flowers. "Its all for you!" She said with a smile. Suddenly, Sitharia, a grey and white she-cat padded her way along the edge of the lawn, un-aware that Demi, a dog, was near. Sitharia kept her tail, and head held high, as she paced slowly to the gate encasing the lawn. She got to the fence, and layed down, catching her breath. Sitharia layed her head down, and closed her eyes.

Demi's jaw dropped and she wagged her tail making a thumping sound against the door. Demi liked Lexi's face in a thank you then she dashed out into the backyard but when she smelled another cat she barked and followed the sent with her wolf instances.

Sitharia scented a dog around, so she jumped to her feet, and looked around. She also faintly scented another cat, so she stood still.

Alderage padded out the door, smelling a new cat. Maybe someone would understand that a cat doesn't like noise. He sat down on the soft grass, flicking his tail back and forth. A small bush loomed behind him, and then a drop of water landed on his head. Disgusted, Alderage quicly licked his paw, and stroked his head, making the water fall off. Sitting back up, he saw the other cat, and padded over. "Hi," he let out a whisper which probley couldn't be heard over all of the noise.

Sitharia nodded slowly, and replied, "Hello." She sat down, still aware of the dog in the house. "My name is Sitharia" She paused, "What's yours?" Sitharia closed her eyes tight against the noise. "Will that dog ever shut up?" She said to herself.

"Alderage," Alderage replied. He purred with delight that just maybe he would have a friend. He flicked his whiskers in agreement of her comment on the dog. Like a kitten, he swatted at a leaf spiraling down. Alderage caught it with his claws. He then sat down giving himself a lick on his scratchy fur.

Sitharia smiled slightly. She yawned, and layed down, licking her fur.
Suddenly, the sprinklers came on. Sitharia stood quickly, with a hiss from the cold water. She dashed past the sprinkler, and into the nearest bush. She stood in the bush, lickiing down the fur that was wet.
